🔒 Privacy Policy – ChatPeek

1. What We Collect

Uploaded Files: WhatsApp chat files are processed only on your device. We do not store or transmit them to our servers.

Email (Optional): We may collect your email if you contact us or opt into updates.

Payment Info: We do not currently collect any payment information. All features are provided free of charge.

2. Third-Party Services

We use the following services:

• Supabase – for hosting and infrastructure
• SMTP Provider – for transactional emails (if needed)
• Google Analytics – collects anonymized usage data (pages visited, approximate location from IP, device/browser type) to help us understand how ChatPeek is used. Loaded only if you accept the "Analytics" category in our cookie preferences.
• Askvo (widget.askvo.io) – powers the chat widget on our site. If you use the chat widget, the messages you type are sent to Askvo's servers to generate a reply; this may include any personal information you choose to include in your message. Loaded only if you accept the "Chat Widget" category in our cookie preferences.

These providers may collect data according to their own privacy policies.

3. Cookies & Tracking

ChatPeek uses a cookie consent banner to gate optional, non-essential tracking. Nothing in the "Analytics" or "Chat Widget" categories above loads until you explicitly opt in. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie Settings (also available in the site footer).

4. Marketing

We do not currently send marketing emails. In the future, we may offer opt-in updates and news.

5. Your Rights

If you're in the EU (including France), you have the right to:

• Access or delete your personal data
• Withdraw consent for Analytics or the Chat Widget at any time via Cookie Settings
• Contact us to exercise these rights

6. Data Processing and Future Features

Uploaded Chat Files: All chat file parsing and analysis happens locally in your browser. We do not send your uploaded chat content to any external service for analysis.

Support Chat Widget: This does not apply to the optional chat widget (see "Third-Party Services" above) — if you choose to use it, whatever you type is sent to Askvo to generate a reply.

Browser-Based Privacy: Your uploaded files never leave your device unless you explicitly export or share them. All analytics and visualizations are generated client-side.

Future Features: If we introduce features that require external data processing in the future, we will clearly notify users and request explicit consent before any data transmission occurs.

Your Control: You maintain complete control over your data. Nothing is shared without your knowledge and consent.
