Here's a breakdown of the newly supported platforms and how they export data:
- Telegram — Export your chats via Telegram Desktop as a
result.jsonfile. ChatPeek reads this JSON directly, giving you full analytics including forwarded messages, edited message tracking, and reply chain visualization. - Instagram DMs — Download your data from Meta's "Download Your Information" portal. Your DMs arrive as JSON files. ChatPeek parses these to reveal message frequency, reaction patterns, and who initiates conversations most.
- Facebook Messenger — Also exported via Meta's data download tool, Messenger archives contain rich conversation history. ChatPeek extracts message counts, emoji usage, and activity timelines from these JSON files.
- Discord — Using the DiscordChatExporter tool, you can export any server channel or DM thread to JSON or HTML format. ChatPeek processes these exports to show server activity, top contributors, reaction stats, and topic trends.
